This driving shoe is probably the most iconic Tod’s shoe there is. It, very much like the Tod’s brand itself, stands for effortless elegance and style. The letter T is represented throughout Tod’s 2020 Resort Collection, and it stands for Tradition, Talent and Time. The tradition of shoemaking in northern Italy is the soul of the shoe; the talent is visible in every single stitch through the leather, and thus, the Gommino is made to withstand the test of time. In today’s outfit, I wore a light brown version of the shoe with the pair of tan socks. I call this out first, because the Gommino is often considered a summer-shoe, but with this simple styling trick, you can make it more season-appropriate. The raw denim jeans are a classic choice that is still casual enough for your average Friday while adding some contrast to the outfit. To pick up the color of the shoes and socks, I chose to wear a cream-colored turtleneck and a tan Mac coat. As a finishing touch, I wore a pair of tortoise frame glasses for a more sophisticated look. Overall, despite it being December, you noticed the lighter color scheme, which evokes feelings of warmer temperatures.
